Moot Venue
The site for Oz Moot is going to be the Woodhouse Activity Centre
in the Adelaide Hills.
Only 25 minutes from the centre of Adelaide in the Piccadilly Valley, Woodhouse
is located on 54 hectares allowing for plenty of room for Rovers to have a great time onsite for activities and night entertainment.
Having only recently hosted the Australian Jamboree in 2004 and previously hosting many Ventures, Jamborees and Moots - all the infrastructure is already in place to cope with the needs of Rovers (and most importantly to make the Moot awesome).
The two main ways Rovers will get to OZ Moot is either by plane or car. All the major aircraft carriers operate multiple flights daily to Adelaide from most major centres around Australia. Once you get to the airport, it is only a short 45 minute drive to Woodhouse.
If you are choosing to drive over, Woodhouse is easily accessible from the South East Freeway. Just take the Crafers turnoff and then a few minutes later – you’re there!
Woodhouse is ideally located within the Adelaide Hills only a short trip to both the
local town of Stirling
or the historic town of Hahndorf
. Day trips will be available to
these towns from the moot site via a Moot shuttle public transport.
You also may want to hop on the Moot Shuttle for the quick ride up to Mt Lofty
the highest
peak of the Adelaide Hills where you can enjoy the views and the Café on site. Being 710
metres above sea level you will look over the Adelaide plains taking in the city all the way to the sea.
