Offsite Activities
All participants at OZ Moot will be given the opportunity to go on three offsite activities. Offsite activities will be allocated into “booked” activities consisting of one Gold, Silver and Bronze per person; and regular daily activities where we will run shuttle buses to a timetable.
Booked activities
Each participant will be eligible to choose a gold, silver and bronze activity to go on while at the Moot. When you are at OZ Moot you will need to sign up for your booked activities. These activities are included in the cost of your Moot fee. A breakdown of gold, silver and bronze activities will be available closer to the Moot.
Regular Daily activities
These activities will be run every day to a timetable. A shuttle bus will help you explore the beautiful towns in the Adelaide Hills , take you into the city of Adelaide and even drop you at the beach! Other activities that are likely to run most days are kayaking on the Port River looking for dolphins, going for a half day walk through the foot hills looking for native Australian animals like koalas and catching glimpses of Adelaide and the coast.
Service activity
All participants at OZ Moot will be asked to attend a service activity. Your service activity will help contribute to the wider community and might vary from an environmental focus to general ‘handyman’ jobs. Service activities will last between a half to one full day. You will be informed of your service day when you sign into OZ Moot.
Offsite activities FAQ
What offsite activities can I do?
You can do as many of the regular daily activities like catching the shuttle buses to the hills or beach as you like. You will also be able to choose one bronze, silver and gold activity. If you want you can choose to do a gold plus activity instead of your gold activity. It will cost you extra but that’s because it will be a really super special activity. Activity lists will be available closer to the Moot.
Do I have to pay for offsite activities?
The only offsite activity you would have to pay for is the optional gold plus activity. Otherwise, all offsite activities are covered in your moot fee.
How many offsite activities can I do?
You can do as many of the regular offsite activities as you would like. You will also be able to choose to do one bronze, silver and gold activity from the lists of bronze, silver and gold activities.
How do I choose my offsite activities?
Once you get to OZ Moot there will be plently of opportunities for you to book yourself into your offsite activities. Why not get together with others in your contingent, or some new friends you have made, and go on an offsite activity together!
